Coming Home to Ourselves: Doorway to Creativity, Wisdom and Joy
A Meditation and Writing Weekend with Barbara Erb, MSW
Why are you here? Suppose you are already perfect, so there is nothing to be fixed or improved upon. Suppose there is nothing that you need to do to prove your worth. Suppose your only purpose in this lifetime is to be yourself—and your gift is the expression of that uniqueness. This is our true destiny, to be ourselves and show that to the world.
Most of us have been searching for what has already been inside. It has been so close that we haven’t recognized our own beauty. We have tried to create someone who was already created. We have been living lives of “doing” not “being.”
Realizing this, the question then becomes, “Who am I really and how do I access that authenticity?” By reconnecting with our bodies and accepting ourselves as we are, we come home. We allow everything to be as it is—thoughts, emotions, ourselves—which opens great space. It is from this space that creativity flows. Wisdom and joy appear, as well. This is the wisdom of true “knowing” and the joy that is not dependent upon outward circumstances.
This weekend is a model of the creative process. Periods of guided meditation, writing and sharing will fill the day. Mindfulness and loving kindness towards our own being will allow for our voice to appear and find expression on the page.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to discover the precious uniqueness of who they are. It is also for anyone who wants to open to the flow of creativity, to tap into their own inner guidance, passion and insight.
This weekend is open to all levels of expertise in either meditation or writing. No experience is necessary. Come join us for a weekend of wonder as you find the joy of expressing your true self.
