Barbara Erb, M.S.W.
Barbara Erb is a clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan and has worked in both community and private practice. She has been a presenter at international seminars as well as community programs. She was Project Coordinator of a National Institute of Mental Health study on the strengths of the Holocaust Survivors in two countries. She set up a program for cancer patients in a metropolitan hospital, as well as a play therapy program for children who were critically ill. Her career has continually focused on helping clients find their voice.
In the fall of 2000, Barbara completed the intensive 10-week internship program in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and his colleagues. Since then, she has taught mindfulness, acceptance and compassion as well as mindfulness and creativity, both individually and in groups.
