Voice of the Soul: Path to the Sacred Self
Meditation, Writing and Nature
Join Barbara Erb for a weekend of meditation, writing and retreat in nature at The Murie Center. Find your authentic voice and inner guidance as you reflect within the tranquility of the ranch. Discover your uniqueness while also realizing your connection with all that is.
What is my authentic voice? What is my gift to the world? Where does my passion really lie? When we are willing to ask these questions, then how to access that singular expression of who we truly are becomes our path. We discover our uniqueness and at the same time, our connection with all that is.
Nature shows us how to Be. She is our finest teacher. Nature teaches us the wonder of our own self, the joy and love at our core. The natural world is a mirror of our inner stillness. Our minds naturally quiet down as we begin to notice everything as it is. This is mindfulness—the ability to be awake and aware of everything in the present moment. When we connect with nature, we connect with something so much larger than ourselves. At the same time we connect with our innermost being and our wholeness. It is by offering this presence and loving kindness to ourselves that we allow space for the voice of our soul to appear. When we listen to this voice, we can develop a life that supports our deepest self.
During this retreat we will leave the “timetable” and pressure behind. Instead we will have days of gathering together, guided meditations, personal walks and exercises in the natural world, writing our experiences and coming back together to share. We will learn to walk mindfully, to eat mindfully, and to fully savor the beauty that is all around us and within us. The Murie Ranch allows us to retreat into nature, centering ourselves in our bodies and our extended body, the Earth.
As a participant, you will leave with a model to come back to your “beingness”, accept yourself fully and share your unique beauty with the world.
This workshop is for all levels of expertise in either meditation or writing. No experience of any kind is necessary. Come join us for four days of wonder as you rediscover your own self in the vastness of life.
